This special edition of the Murzilli Consulting newsletter spotlights our upcoming Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) 2.5 training session, taking place this October 2-3, in Madrid, Spain, and taught by our Co-founder and CEO, @Lorenzo Murzilli, in partnership with our sister company, @DroneTalks.online.
Currently, we are offering a 10% discount to anyone who signs up for the training session by September 30, so don’t wait long.

Due to high demand, we have organised yet another edition of our SORA 2.5 training. This time, the training will take place in our Spanish headquarters in Madrid, which have recently been @EQA certified for training purposes.
We are now offering a special 10% discount for anyone that registers before September 30th using the code SORA10 at checkout.
This two-day interactive training is structured in a series of comprehensive sessions that cover the ten steps of the SORA 2.5 methodology. The course combines theoretical knowledge and practical case studies to ensure participants acquire a deep knowledge of all key aspects of SORA, while developing the necessary skills for UAS operations and real-world implementation.

Risk assessment and regulatory compliance are critical to the success and scalability of any advanced air mobility enterprise. Yet, in such a rapidly evolving sector, staying aligned with the constantly shifting regulatory landscape for UAS operations can be a challenge.
Our training programme blends structural learning modules with interactive discussions, providing participants with practical tools to navigate approval processes and confidently apply the SORA methodology across a wide range of operational scenarios.
The first day of the training focuses on the foundations of the SORA, giving attendees a solid introduction on its background, structure, semantic model and key principles, while teaching them how to build essential documents like the Concept of Operations (ConOps) and the Operations Manual (OM).
During the second day, attendees delve deeper into advanced applications of SORA, including strategies for Ground and Air-risk mitigation, SAIL/OSOs Determination, adjacent airspace considerations and insights into the Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC).

A unique advantage of this course is the opportunity to learn the SORA 2.5 methodology directly from one of its original creators: @Lorenzo Murzilli, who is widely recognised as the “Father of SORA.”
Lorenzo is an aerospace engineer and aviation specialist with extensive expertise in airspace modernisation, system safety and UAS.
As former Chair of the @JARUS - Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems WG-SRM (formerly WG-6) and leader of the Innovation and Digitalisation Unit at the @Federal Office of Civil Aviation Switzerland FOCA, he played a pivotal role in developing the SORA framework. He is also a founding member of the @Global UTM Association (GUTMA) and a guest lecturer at several renowned academic institutions such as @ZHAW Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften and @Xihua University.
As Co-founder and CEO of Murzilli Consulting, Lorenzo continues to play a leading role in shaping the future of advanced air mobility, supporting key industry players in achieving their business objectives. He brings both passion and unparalleled expertise to every training session, ensuring participants gain a high-quality learning experience and leave fully prepared to put their knowledge into practice.

We are extremely proud of the feedback we have received from participants of previous trainings, which range from top industry professionals and civil aviation authorities from across the globe.
Our most recent training session, hosted by @PwC Japan, received an impressive overall 9.5 rating and welcomed members of the @Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB), the @Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
This training programme is also trusted by @Baringa, @British Transport Police, @Irish Aviation Authority, @NATS, @Nokia, @SESAR Joint Undertaking, @Skyports Infrastructure, @UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), @Windracers and many more.

For those unable to attend the Madrid training, we also offer an online training option that conveniently allows you to access the same course materials, practical cases and interactive discussions via our online platform.
Murzilli Consulting provides customised training programmes tailored to the specific needs of your organisation, for groups of five or more participants. Moreover, our team of drone and aviation experts, including @Juan José Sola, former Head of the UAS Division at @AESA, can assist you with additional SORA support for the acquisition of operational authorisations at any SAIL level in all countries where SORA methodology is accepted.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to attend this training for a special price, registering with the code SORA10 to get a 10% off. This code is only valid until the September 30th and is non-personal, which means you can either use it yourself or share it with a friend or colleague who you think may benefit from attending the training.
